Bailey Mae's Trailhead Café is an Artistic - Cool - Funky - Hip - Loving & Vibrant Café and Coffee Shoppe located in the Southeastern Ohio Village of Chauncey, that offers a fun family friendly restaurant located in ta safe environment that makes and serves high quality caffeinated beverages and exquisitely crafted culinary meals for everyone's experience, while supporting fair trade coffee practices with our Worldwide bean growers and local importers & roasters.
The primary vision of Bailey's Café is to offer a place for the inhabitants of Chauncey, Millfield, Redtown, Jacksonville, Glouster, The Plains, Athens and Southeast Ohio to hang out and have a refreshing beverage and a food choice where they can relax and enjoy themselves in a sober atmosphere. Baileys Hall is open to the public for weekly meals and Yoga classes, along with bi-weekly Euchre games and Open Stage nights. Bailey Mae's holds monthly special events such as Cruise In's, Outdoor Movies, Car Shows, Art Shows and Live Music. Our Venue can be rented for public usage. The Secondary Vision is to attract the vast amount of Tourists that come to Chauncey to enjoy and bike ride on the Bailey Trail-head bike path system as they have no place to learn the community history, purchase a healthy meal, repair their bikes, hang out in a relaxed atmosphere or enjoy a nice beverage, meal, or snack. Tourist Dollars are important to the local economy and we wish to capitalize on their expenditures.
Bailey's is owned by a Disabled American Combat War Veteran that named the café after his Grand Daughter: Bailey Mae Martin who is a 2 time cancer survivor thrive.
Bailey Mae's Trail-head Café is the home of Gilham - Frank VFW Post 8804 which for the past 7 decades lied in New Marshfield Ohio. The owner of Bailey's Café started a new VFW in Athens County where veterans can meet and talk to each other in a quite sober non gambling facility and that Post members can conduct VFW business and facilitate multiple events such as Memorial Day, Veterans Day, POW-MIA Day, cleaning and flagging veterans graves and hosting Car Shows and Trick or Treat for the Community.
